Hotel Heron is a 134-room boutique hotel located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. Originally home to the historic George Mason Hotel, the property has been redeveloped by May Riegler Properties in partnership with Potomac Investment Properties and is managed by Aparium Hotel Group.

The project reimagines a landmark structure as a modern hospitality destination, blending restored architectural character with contemporary design, elevated amenities, and a strong connection to the surrounding neighborhood. Hotel Heron features 2,355 square feet of ballroom space accommodating up to 120 guests, 842 square feet of flexible meeting space, and multiple dining and social venues.

Culinary offerings include KILN, the hotel’s signature restaurant focused on hearth-inspired Mid-Atlantic cuisine; Francis Hall, an intimate cocktail bar; and Good Fortune, an open-air rooftop bar with views of the Potomac River and downtown Alexandria.

Located just across the river from Washington, D.C., Hotel Heron contributes to the continued revitalization of Old Town by combining hospitality, culture, and design within a historically significant setting.
