The Carraway is a classic 1921 apartment building located in the heart of Columbia Heights, one of Washington, D.C.’s most vibrant and historically significant neighborhoods. Just two miles north of downtown, the neighborhood offers a mix of cultural landmarks, diverse dining, and easy access to public transportation.

In 2015, May Riegler undertook a comprehensive renovation of the building, preserving its historic exterior while completely modernizing the interior. All 15 residential units were updated with contemporary finishes and layouts, amenity space was added, and the building’s mechanical systems and utilities were fully replaced to meet modern standards.
